We are looking for a data analyst who can help us optimize our product assortment across our online and offline channels. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources, such as sales, inventory, customer feedback, lost sales, market research, and competitor analysis. You will use data-driven insights to recommend the best product mix for each channel, category, season, and location. You will also work closely with other teams, such as merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and finance, to implement and monitor the impact of your assortment decisions.
- Collect and integrate data from multiple sources, such as internal databases, web analytics, POS systems, CRM systems, and third-party data providers
- Apply statistical techniques and advanced analytics tools to analyze and interpret data
- Identify and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for assortment optimization, such as sales, margin, turnover, availability, walk rate, cannibalization, substitution, etc.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track and communicate assortment performance and opportunities
- Conduct assortment analysis for different channels, categories, seasons, and locations
- Recommend optimal product mix based on customer preferences, market trends, competitive landscape, and business objectives
- Support the implementation of assortment changes and monitor their impact on sales and profitability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on assortment strategies and actions
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve assortment planning processes and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, information management, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics or assortment analysis, particularly experiences in pharmacy and healthcare industry
- Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst in the retail/pharmacy industry.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, Python, Power BI
- Experience with assortment analysis or related fields, such as merchandising, category management, pricing, promotion, etc.
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present large amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for business stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Team player with a positive attitude and a customer-centric mindset
